1. Welfare, interests, resettlement, rehabilitation and all other matters concerning the ex-servicemen, families of serving and deceased soldiers

2. Assistance in representing their cases to the local administration or the defence authority concerned as the case may be.

3. Circulation of all sorts of information concerning the welfare of such categories of personnel, i.e. benefits/concessions, reemployment, resettlement, rehabilitation, training facilities
    and all other assitances as may be announced by the central and the state governments from time to time.

4. Legal advice and settlement of disputes out of court, where there is no male member in a family or such personnel.

5. Help to such personnel in matters of securing medals/stars, pension, gratuity, settlement of arrears etc.

6. Assistance to disabled soldiers and widows and orphans of deceased soldiers.

7. Investigation of applications for financial assistance and all other matters affecting the interests of such personnel.

8. Liaison witk local Civil & Military authorities.

9. Promotion of feelings of good-will between civil and military classes.

10. Liaison with civil authorities on matters of peculiar interest of military classes

11. Control of local funds, if any, for helping the needy and deserving personnel

12. Advice on all matters, civil and military, concerning their welfare, interests, resettlement, rehabilitation and all other matters.

13. Assistance in recruitment to defence services.

14. Co-ordination of all activities with the armed forces personnelon civil said.

15. Co-operation of defence personnel with implementation of government schemes.
